ABOUT FLYING FIRST
From the desk of the Director: It’s our endeavour to launch ‘Himalayan air safari’ in Mussoorie
Tourists visiting Mussoorie will now have an opportunity to fly in a chopper and to soak in the breathtaking views of Gangotri, Yamunotri and other snow peaks. The trial run of chopper services was conducted at Sir George Everest House near Mussoorie, and in the coming days, trial run of hot air balloons and gyrocopter services will also be conducted.
The tourism department has initiated ‘Himalayan air safari’ in collaboration with a private partner to take tourists on a chopper ride to visit the snow peaks and back. Aerosports through hot air balloons and gyrocopters have also been launched on a pilot mode.
